| I passed my A+ and have some (about 6 months) of experince. I am looking
for an entry level postiion to get my feet wet. Do you think asking $8
an hour is asking too much?

| No, it isn't. My first computer job when I was 17 paid $7.50 an hour, and I
had no certifications.

| I'd ask for 9 or 10 myself. I believe 9/hr starting is fair.

This depends on where you are living, I would say.

| Well as stated in other replies, it does depend on your area, I would say
uts fair but remember that the important thing is getting more experience
under your belt. I started at $7.00 myself, but couldn't really argue much
at the time. I had no certs and no documented experience. I was up to 10
bucks less than 14 months later. But for some background, in my area there
are very few IT jobs available, and I accepted the job with the intention of
keeping it for at least three years. The pay was of less importance than the
experience I could document for the next job.
You are in a pretty tough market right now I would wiegh jobs more on the
quality of the experince they offer more than simply money.
