| I'm running Win2000 Professional and I've recently uninstalled a program and
now when I boot-up the PC, I get the following shortcut error:
The drive or network connection that the shortcut 'filename.lnk' refers to
is unavailable. Make sure that the disk is properly inserted or the network
resource is available, and try again.
Can anyone explain how I can correct this? Obviously the error is referring
to the program I just deleted by the filename that is listed in the error
message. I would like to correct this and prevent the error from occurring
when I boot-up. When I uninstalled the program, I went through Add/Remove
programs and everything appeared to uninstall correctly. Any help is
appreciated. Thanks in advance.

| How did you correct it?

| I just had the same problem and located the offending shortcut in the
Winnt/ole folder.
Then I just deleted the old shortcut and the problem was solved.
