Finished A+, what next?
|
|
|
| Course finished, passed Hardware and sitting OS on the 27th. Have 2 choices
of where to go next. One is a 2 days a week course which covers Photoshop,
Flash, web design etc. The other is a new course in PC games programming,
details not finalised yet but it's based on C++ with a maths component. All
fees, books and expenses are paid for by the EEC. My idea of programming is
looking at endless lines of code. Will learning C++ be as boring as what I
think it will be or have I got it wrong?

| Depends on you really. If you want to code you'll do fine, if its not the
direction you want to take then it just may be as boring as your afraid of.
But then again, it is free. Although it may seem boring, you may get started
and get interested once those lines of code start meaning something.

If you think you'll be bored there is a good chance
you'll be bored. C++ can be reams of easy to read
code or it be short and cryptic.
Have you considered Comptia's Network+ and a Security+ Exam?

| Plumbing sounds about like the typical next step of many A+ certified techs
these days.
