| Hello,
I am a recently certified A+ tech with no "official" experience in the
field. I was wondering what is the starting wage for an entry level PC tech
position at compUSA. I've tried to get an answer from employee at the
company, but none would devulge the info. I just don't want to be exploited.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

| Easynews,
I wish I had an answer for you but I don't. I would not expect very much as
a base, probably near minimum wage in your area.

| I remember an ad a few years ago for A+ certified techs with six months
experience starting at $15/hour.
This was 2000-2001ish, so it has probably changed.

| I used to work at CompUSA and their highest paid A+ tech was $12/hour.

| I will probably ask for $16.00/hr. BTW, were you able to buy
hardware/software at cost?
