Network+ is your best bet alot of the material in it will help to better
understand the Microsoft exams later.

Hi Wiffy,

Like Daniel said, I would go for the Network+ next. This is what I am going
to do, whenever I get up the ambition to start studying again.

Have fun in Las Vegas! Can I go too? *Just kidding*

Cheers,
Kathy

I'll take your advice then. Network+ it will be then. Does Mike Meyers make a book on this one. Hey Mike--do You? His book really seemed to work best for me. Hope he has an Network+ book too!

But I must take a little break first, my brain I think went on burnout.

Hi Wiffy,

Yes Mike does have a Network+ book. I have been wanting to buy this book
sometime soon. Have you had any experience in Networking? I haven't any, so
I think this book would be great for people like me. Yes his books seem to
work best for me too :-)

Cheers,
Kathy

BTW Mike, are you coming out with a new Network+ book soon or is the second
edition okay?

Kathy,
Mike is really good for the A+ but I found his book for the Network+ really
weak, I would suggest having a look at Sybex Network+ by David Groth.

Thanks Dan, but would it be good for someone like me that has no experience
whatsoever with Networking?

I should actually get my butt in gear and experiment with it though. After
all, I have four computers in the house.

Thanks,
Kathy

yes, I found the Sybex book to be bang on with the CompTIA objectives and in
my opinon the author was easier to understand and made the material easier
to understand. I don't know about your local library but you might want to
see if they have the book so you can compare the two author.
