OS Question--Urgent Please--Test in Morning
|
|
|
| Hi all--just want to thank everyone for being such a great help but have hopefully just one more questioon---You know that Sample question we are seeing on the FreeComptia tests along with other test engines concerning this quetion:
When you are getting Kernel32 errors you can delete which file that Windows will automatically replace. Is it the actual
Kernel32.dll or is it Win386.dll?
I've seen both answers marked correct. Oh and maybe one last one.
When upgrading an operating system, is it which is the first thing that you do beforehand. 1. Backup critical files or 2. Backup Old operating systems.
I've seen conflicting answers on this one too. Many thanks. wiffy

OOPs---I meant the win386.swp as one of those choices. Since I asked i was using my Beachfront testing engine for A+ OS test and like i said--it says that it is--delete
Kernel32.dll and has an explanation that Microsoft has created this ability to fix Kernel32.dll errors stating that this file will automatically replace itself by windows.
I'm also using "A-Cert" testing engine from I think Exam notes along with Michael Meyers testing questions.
Well...guess it has got to late to worry about it now. Thanks everyone for your help!!!!

| I was reading Myewrs today and he mentins that in ME I think there is
a monitoring system that watches certain critical dll's to see if they
become corrupt or deleted. and that the OS can repair these errors.
I think it was chapter 10 in the third edition.
This may be what the question was meaning when it said that remiving
the .dll is a repairable file as a correct answer.
Can someone quote chapter and verse here? I am out of that chapter
right now and don't want to go digging back through and confuse
myself.
