Author Mike Meyers Tests Question

Here's my background: 8 years building systems for myself and others,
networked small offices, phone tech support for offices whom I have
helped purchase systems, that kind of stuff. I have Mike Meyers'
latest book and have the Core test schedules for next week. I haven't
studied the OS part of the book at all, but I have lots of experience
with 95, 98, ME and XP (but not 2000). I am completely confident about
passing the Core test.

Here's my question: I have tried taking the adaptive OS test from the
Meyers book, and I can fly through it every time. Last time I got 800
after 20 questions. I haven't used any braindumps at all. Should I
just go ahead and take the OS exam soon? I have never failed the
Adaptive test, always hitting 800 after 20-25 questions. I am a little
surprised, but I have messed with OSs for years.

Thanks for any input, folks.

The current test has quite a bit of Win2k in it! If you don't know w2k I
would recommend you at least read the w2k part of the book. You can't hurt
anything buy reading the OS part of the book, but it does hurt if you faill
and you have to dish out more $

Well, you indicate that you do have the book, study the OS section and you
should do fine. Lots of less experienced folks pass the Core and OS using
just the M. Meyers book. You can still schedule the test pretty soon,
shouldn't take a great deal of time to get through the OS section.

I have Mike Meyers' book (Fourth Edition), if you have the same one, I would suggest reading the OS section as it is only 2 or 3 chapters. You can read it all in a day.

Thanks folks. I really do need to get the locations of options and
stuff down since some is different in XP than 2000. I'll get to
reading!
