Okay, I'm getting better at this anxiety thing. I remember today on the OS
I had 17 questions. That's more than I remember from the Hardware... lol
Anyway, passed it with a 798 or something like that (left my paperwork at
work).

I'm going to get brave and either try the Network or Server + Can't decide
just yet.

Many thanks to all of you for your support! I am not so afraid of the exams
now that I've completed two.

CJ

Kathy,

What study guides are you using for Network +? I borrowed the Network
Plus for Dummies from the Library.

CJ,

The one book I do have is the Network+ passport book by Mike Meyers. I do
want to get the Network+ certification book by Mike Meyers, this book has
more information than the passport book. I'm new to Networking so I need to
learn everything about it.

I think you made the right choice borrowing the Network plus for dummies
book. I heard this is a great book as well. I should go borrow it too.

Cheers,
Kathy

Does anybody take instructor lead classes like I'm taking right know
for network + or does everybody just read a book?

Kathy,

Something I've not done w/the A+ exams, but it really did help me with
college and it will help me with the Network Plus is "teach it". If you can
teach a class you can know the material. Familiarity over and over sticks
in your mind. We have several conference rooms w/read/write boards where I
teach application classes. Wish I had one at home. So, I'll be at work
teaching and talking to myself with no students. lol But, it WORKS! Just
an idea. Good thing I can close my door and the employees think all IT ppl
talk to themselves anyway.. lol

What, do you mean that you know some who don't?

It is a long held belief of mine that you have not been
properly initiated until someone walks in on you
yelling at a machine.

.... but, that's just me.

I'm taking instructor tutored classes, and seems the best way to go.

CJ,

Me teach a class, that's a joke *LOL* *Just kidding*. That does sound like a
very good idea, but around here I doubt I could get very many ppl to want to
take a class such as the A+.

It must be true about IT ppl talking to themselves. I did it when I was
studying for the A+! *LOL*. If it works for studying I will do it again!
