When I wrote it there were alot of questions on laser printers (printing
process), startup errors. Memorize as much as you can. Every test has
different questions.

| Stop cheating and do your studying, the exams are a joke as it is. If you
have to cheat on the A+ you are in serious trouble if you want to make IT a
career.

| examcram books have tear-out cheatsheets.
basically all you need is:
cpu to socket/slot
laser process
irq / dma
network cable lengths
parallel/serial/vga/game/etc port (pin-outs, male-female, etc)
stuff like that | |

Why do you call them "cheat sheets". Every exam has stuff that must be
memorised, from the times tables onwards. Remembering stuff that you have
/revised/ for in preparation for an exam is part of learning. You learn
while doing the work as well as learning from study.

| I'm sorry about the misunderstanding, Sundog, but once you mentioned "cheat
sheet" I automatically thought you meant cheating....Sorry, *sheepish grin*

Right on, Sundog.
When I went to college, that term had a very specific meaning. A person
(not me, of course) could write notes on a small piece of paper and put
it in their slide rule case, to be taken out and referred to surreptitiously
during an exam (you don't see that word very often in this newsgroup!).
These days, it has a broader meaning. Musicians have what they call
"cheat books" which contain abbreviated forms of words and music
in compact and easy to carry spiral-bound books.
At least Kathy caught on to what we are talking about.
In my post of yesterday, I forgot to mention the most basic study guide of
all - that from CompTIA. There you can see what areas they are testing
for now, and what the changes will be at the end of the year when the new
test comes out (if they are on time). Also, you can scan the site and get
more info on the tests other than just what to study for.

Hope this has been helpful.

("slide rule case!!" - what kind of an old f*rt are we talking about here?)
