Hi all,just passed the core exam,no probs,just failed my o/s exam though.i
get to re-take it next week, any ideas on revision, any links to helpful
sites?
One other question, when you guys took your exams, were you alone in the exam
room or (staff apart) or were you with fellow examinees? My reason being(and
i know this is going to sound like sour grapes) was I had some idiot come in
next to part way through, and he was mumbling, tutting and sighing to
himself, which I found quite off putting to say the least. As i only just
failed the exam (527) I could blame this dumbo for putting me off(my excuse
anyway) is this the norm ,to be sat with other examinees?? I would be
interested to know.

Sorry to waffle on...
thanks

the testing center here is a small room for four people
yes, it can get annoying.

the testing centre i go to has a room for 3 people max.. and usually there
is only one other person in there, if any.
ive had a similar problem on a few occasions.. there isnt much you can do
about it, just give them an evil look so that they notice you, noticing
them.

good luck for the next exam.

SAY something about that then, either to the DF making the noise or
the staff..."test conditions" should prevail and that means silence.
You shouldn't have to put up with that BS.

Stand up for yourself...you're paying for the test so you DO have a
right to say something about any distractions.

You should have said something to the staff and to that person or given him
the evil eye, maybe he would have shut up. He should have known better!!

The room I was in was a small room, only 3 workstations. When I took the
Core exam two other guys were in there taking exams. I had no problem with
them. You wouldn't have noticed they were there because they were very
quite. When I took the OS exam only one other guy was in there, he was very
quite as well.

I can understand from all of the distraction that it would throw you off. I
still think the guy should have known better! When you go for your exam next
week tell the staff what happened the last time and see if they can do
something for you.

Have you tried http://www.freecomptia.com ? Do those online practice exams.
They will help you out tremendously.

Cheers,
Kathy

Take the test first thing in the morning. Might be a better time. Fewer
folks.

Try this one. Good luck. I've taken, and passed Network+ and A+ Core. I'm
about to take the A+ OS, and this "FREE" site is extremely close to some of
the exam questions that I have seen from CompTIA partners.
