Hi all. Hope you can help with this question. Kind of a long message.
A friend of mine built a nice system and installed W2K. Up to that
point all was running very well. He installed his modem, still ok.
Then he installed Juno 5.0. He was able to send and receive e-mail
fine. When he clicked to get on the internet he received the following
message.

Juno needs to update your
Windows NT network configuration before you can connect to the World
Wide Web using Juno Web. After Juno has updated this configuration,
you will need to reboot your computer. Please click 'OK' to proceed or
'Cancel' to postpone this change (Juno will not be able to connect you
to the World Wide Web without this change).

Well, he clicked OK and within a minute Juno had uploaded some file to
his system and then he shut the system down and rebooted. It seemed to
reboot fine until it came to "Starting windows" with the progress bar
at the bottom. The blue progress bar got half-way across and
completely stalled. He waited at least 10 minutes and nothing
happened. I tried working on it by first doing an F8 to "Last known
good configuration". Then checked Juno for any auto-updates, Then I
reinstalled the OS, modem and Juno. We got the same message as above.
Juno doesn't tell us WHAT file is being uploaded to the system nor
does it tell us what directory it is going into or what that file is
suppose to do. I should have done a step-by-step configuration but i
ran out of time. Anyone got any ideas? I have e-mailed Juno tech
support and am waiting for their reply. My friend has ran this version
of Juno on Windows 98SE, Millinium, and XP with no problems. Thanks
for any ideas and advise.
