HELP . Have a laptop with win xp trying to reformat HD but

| 20g HD Partioned twice
1 status A NTFS 9562 50%
2 Ext Dos 9507 50%
I fdisk and deleted NTFS still got the Ext dos and i can't delete it.
How can i put back the NTFS ??
I have a win me Boot disk , Do i need a xp boot disk ???

| Hi, Janey...
Have you deleted all the logical partitions in your extended
partition? You can't deleted the extended partition without doing
that first. Look for the option in FDISK.

| Use your ME boot disk and ensure that you have removed any non-DOS
partitions etc. When I have multiples I always work back from 4 (view
partition info) and then 3/4 - 3/3 - 3/2 - 3/1 as necessary. If your XP is
a full edition the rebuild is fairly straight forward.

Boot with the XP CD and delete the "extra" partition during setup!
