Author address bus

I´m taking the A+ exams soon, and am pretty sure about an print error in the
Sybex A+ study guide. 2001 version.

Note: note I´m not 100 % sure about this but be carefull, the Pentium Pro
has a 36bit address bus (www.Intel.com speaking)and not the 32 anounced in
the study guide. The rest of the book is exelent compared to others I´ve
ran into.

The copy paste of many web pages and manuals can be misleading, but then
again...

Intel was right - they must have looked it up.

I wondered about that 36 also, but I believe it is a 32 bit bus with 4 bits
for parity -- I could be wrong though....

Sybex has a section on their website called "Errata" (after clicking on
catalog and then A+ -- hardware study guide---- it shows alot of errors need
to be corrected in the book. www.sybex.com

Guys, the presence or absence of Parity impacts the DATA bus width, it
doesn't impact the address bus width.

The size of the address bus could be anything, for example on the
8088/8086 it was 20 bits. It's NOT related to the word size/width. I
don't know what it was on the Pentium Pro, but a quick look at a data
sheet on the Intel web site should resolve that.
