Hello all. I am preparing to take the A+ exam in the next week or so and I was
wondering how reliable of a gauge the test on Freecomptia are? I am doing well
on all their test and fail(below 70) on maybe one of them. I also have the red
and blue-"Osborne Certification Press A+ Study Guide". Big Red and Blue book.

Thanks

JoeyP

Five days, 2 hours, 0 minutes and 32 seconds. 152 cigarettes not smoked, saving
$22.88. Life saved: 12 hours, 40 minutes.

The big red and blue book is of no benefit to have if you don't read it.

And sorry, but if I were a betting man, I'd bet that you would be back to
smoking soon. If you're still so focused on it that you're counting the
seconds since your last smoke, you aren't free.

But, Good Luck,

freecompita.com is a good question area.
Its pretty much on the money.
Take a look at examdrill.com too, I used that and Mike Meyers 3rd edition to pass my first exam..scored 1026..there are several other free sites that give out A+ questions..stop in the A+ forum and take a look around...

of course he's gonna start smoking sooner or later, what quiting does is
like a test on how long you could go without it, then u restart smoking,
then you quit again, each time the quiting session being longer and longer.
thats the way to win, cuz cold turkey rarely works for a heavy smoker.

Every cigarette not smoked is a benefit, both to health and finances.

Wow. You guys just XXXXing kill me. I post a question about an exam I have
never taken, along with it my quit meter, and you guys start in on me that I am
gonna smoke again. I wonder how many of you also get a kick out of going to
the hospital and telling kids in wheelchairs that they'll never walk again? Or
how many go to AA meetings with a six-pack saying, "it's ok to have just one".
You mean to tell me that some of you have never lost a love one to a smoking
related illness? Or a drinking related illness? Damn, when a person is an
addict you shouldn't bring hi down.

JoeyP

Six days, 6 hours, 16 minutes and 32 seconds. 187 cigarettes not smoked, saving
$28.18. Life saved: 15 hours, 35 minutes.

PS. And I would take every nickel you got if you were to bet against me.

AND THEN.. there was GEORGE BURNS..yeah know the OLD guy who played in
the movies GOD and GOD II .. and a million other movies..

at the age of like 88 or so.. he was on a talk show.. and was smoking
and drinking on the show, and the host turned to him (think it was Johnny
Carson) and said. WHAT DOES YOUR DOCTOR THINK OF YOU SMOKING AND DRINKING
EVERY DAY?? Mr. Burns took a puff off his cigar, and a sip of his drink,
and said " I DON"T KNOW.. he's been dead for 9 years"

ha ha, thats what I thought when I first set foot in the stop smoking support
newsgroups... but you soon discover that you download a little program called a
'meter' then you just enter your quit day, how many smokes you used to smoke,
and it keeps track for you. Its actually very motivating to take a look at it
once in a while and see how much you've accomplished, so basically you're
totally wrong with your assessment of the meter sigfiles. As for Joey P,
your meter looks good, hang in there!! Quitting smoking is a million
times more impressive and relevent than passing A+ by the way...

oh ya and as for your question, I memorized the freecomptia site, it didn't
really help me pass, considering I failed OS. It probably helped me get a
higher score in Core but I would've passed anyway. Where I tested many of the
Core questions were identical to freecomptia's but most of the OS questions
were not.

Four months, 3 hours, 42 minutes and 11 seconds. 3664 cigarettes not smoked,
saving $1,239.07. Life saved: 1 week, 5 days, 17 hours, 20 minutes.
