Can someone please make the case for getting an A+ certification. I am
pursuing this certification and my instincts say that it is good to have,
but there have been those who speak deragotorily about it. I must admit
that comptia's own website is not good at making the case for getting an
A+ certification.

Hi Rob

I can't speak for everyone but in my case I decided to retrain after many
years in the hospitality industry and make what was my hobby something I
could earn a living doing. Asking around I was advised that most employers
in my area regarded A+ as the minimum qualification before hiring someone.
Using that as a guide I decided to do A+, Net+ and MCSA for a starter.
I think more than anything the A+ certification shows that you can at least
recognise a RAM module and have some idea how a system is pieced together.
The Mike Meyers All in One A+ book is a great place to obtain all the
necessary information.

Russ
