I guess it usually is for college-aged kids -- anyone believe they get
paid more than this?

Depends on where you live, but that's good money for some locations.

I was told $10.50 per hour.....i would take the $12 if i had the chance
what area is this in ....mine was the Philadelphia suburbs

A former intern of mine got $8.50 from Best Buy Albuquerque, but that was
pre-certification. They gave him a whopping $2.00 raise when he got the
cert. I pay him $30/hr for subcontract work, but I can't give him steady
hours like BB can.

Where in the Philly burbs are you? I got started (many years ago) in King
of Prussia, working for GE.

Yea KOP is about 35minutes away from me.....i am in Delaware
County...down *Near* Chester......NOT IN CHESTER!!!....i am hoping to
get a job soon....i think my Network+ might help

$12 an hour is good pay, in my opinion. especially if all you have is an a+ cert. (no other cert, no degree)

Yes, in my part of the country $12/hr. is excellent pay for an
entry-level job.

it is very possible to get upto $25 an hour in some areas, dependant on
company, i went to an interview, but i did not have the certification then so i
didn't get the job, the company was offering $20 an hour!!!
