Question: How can I change an IRQ on a device when the properties won't
allow it in the Device Manager? I have configured my bios to think the
O/S is not PNP, but it still won't allow me to change the IRQ on my
video card...grrr

Thanks, Jim

I miss jumpers and dip switches too...AGP or PCI?

Do a search on google with the complete specifics of your situation.
Different configurations, hardware-wise, allow different outcomes, it
seems. If it's PCI, try switching slots.

The only thing I can think of that might work would be to note what IRQ the
video card is using in the device manager, then enter cmos setup go to the
area where you can reserve IRQ's for ISA slots. Well reserve the IRQ that
the video card is using and reboot. If that doesn't force the IRQ to move,
remove it from the device manager, reboot and with the IRQ still reserved
for ISA in cmos, the card should now upon windows when PNP kicks in
recognize that the IRQ is reserved and wala assign it another IRQ. If that
works man post back and let us all know. Good luck man. Dam PCI. later
