Hello everyone, how are you all. I've just started studying for the A+
certification and would be very appreciative of any advice from anyone who
may have passed or may be currently studying or even someone who may not
have passed an exam (you learn by your mistakes or, in this case, the
mistakes of others). I've talked to aquaintences who are techs and they say
that it's easy but they've been in the game since well before such a
certification was available and don't hold it anyway. I wouldn't say I was
nervous about it but I am a little weary as I don't have a background in
computers except that I have one. I actually work in the meat industry in
New Zealand as a boner which is someone who takes the meat off the bone to
make boneless cuts of meat such as tunnel boned lamb legs for the export
market.
I'm studying useing Mike Meyers all-in-one exam guide and an 8 set cd rom
guide which is a less extensive but visually mirrors the book - also hosted
by Mike Meyers and the Master Exam test preparation software which is said
to model the vendor certification exam as closely as possible. Anyway, I
seem to have a lot of stuff to commit to memory and any help or words of
advice, no matter how insignificant it may seem, would be greatly
appreciated especially from fellow New Zealanders. But please you may all
feel free to impart your valuble knowledge.

Many Thanks.....Slightly bewilderd kiwi.

Hi,

A+ is an entry level exam so don't panic when studying. The core exam is
easiest than the OS exam
Mike Meyers all in one is a good book.
