Author Error in All-In-One 4th Edition

I saw this a while back but forgot about it. A recent post regarding
CD-ROM support in DOS reminded me.

On page 584 there is an explanation on how to make a bootable Win95
floppy with CD-ROM support.

1. Download the OAKCDROM.SYS and put on startup disk.
2. Copy MSCDEX.EXE and put on startup disk.
3. Add line to CONFIG.SYS on startup disk:
DEVICE=A:\CDROM.SYS /D:CDROM

4. Add line to AUTOEXEC.BAT on startup disk:
MSCDEX /D:CDROM

The problem is in STEP 3. The line added should be:
DEVICE=A:\OAKCDROM.SYS /D:CDROM

Stuff like this must drive the Editors crazy!

Usually publishers have a page on the web to list errata. I believe Total Seminars provides such info. No one is perfect. We all make mistakes.

I just took a look at their errata page and they have that error listed. You
can find the other "oops" for 4th edition at:
http://www.totalsem.com/errata_aplus_4th.html

They also include a link to e-mail Scott Jernigan when you find errors. As a
company they're pretty good about watching this forum, though.
