Recently I formatted my HD and installed Windows XP. Works great now.
Previously had Windows ME and OE6.
I backed up 2 DBX files for 2 backup hotmail folders (hotmail messages &
hotmail sent messages) before the format. However, in XP, OE 6 doesn't let
me "import" them using the wizard. Any idea how to do this?

Before formatting, I normally kept my messages on Hotmail, but when my inbox
got too full, I would transfer them to the "local" section which stores them
locally on my computer. I created and named the two folders "Hotmail
Messages" and "Hotmail Sent Messages." These are normally located in
""C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application
Data\Identities\XXXXXXXX\Micro
soft\Outlook Express."

I tried dumping those files in the above directory, but OE doesn't show them
when I run the program. Please help me put them back in the local section.
They are both about 15-16 MB each, so I KNOW they are there. Thanks for
your help
