No Linux+ Usenet newsgroup that I am aware of and the best book for self
study is the Sybex book ISBN 0782129390 at www.BookPool.com.

Discount CompTIA exam vouchers
Prometric- http://vouchers.wetrainit.com
VUE- http://vuevouchers.wetrainit.com

Andy....What do you think of the All In One Linux+ book......and do you
believe that taking the Linux+ after the A+ would be a smart move since 19%
of the exam is Hardware

I haven't seen the All in One Linux+ book but I did provide a review earlier
this year on the All in One Server+ book and I wasn't very impressed.

I think as long as you get the hands-on with the OS, the Linux+ would be a
good fit for a A+ technician.

Andy,

This is an unfair comparison between the "All In One, Server+" book and the
"All In One, Linux+" book?

The books were written by different Authors and you haven't even seen/read
the Linux+ book.

This leads me to believe you are basing your opinion on the title "All In
One".

If this is the case, your comparison makes about as much sense as me saying
all of the "SYBEX" books suck when I have only read one book and disliked
it.

Therefore, I feel your comments are totally irrelevant to the posted
question and should be overlooked in the decision making process.

Play fair or don't play at all!

I would recommend getting "Linux unleashed". This is an excellent reference for all Lunix flavors.

I was not comparing the All in One books to each other and I can tell you
that with a $10,000 library, I buy all of my books with first consideration
of the author.

Then what would you call it?

No reference to the "All In One, Server+" book should have ever been made
based on the question asked.

Who are you trying to impress with the mention of your $10,000 library?
Have you actually read any books from it?

I'm not impressed

You can have the last word since it seems as though it's all you are after.

Anyone have the Osborne Linux+ Study guide? If so, what do you think of it?
