| Since this board is populated with many computer enthusiasts, I
thought I'd ask a question. The two times that I downloaded Kazaa and
then songs from the service, I got a "runtime error" that would appear
for a split-second when restarting or shutting down the computer. It
was practically impossible for me to read the exact details of the
error since it was there for a split-second. In any case, I have
reformatted my hard drive to get rid of that error. I would like to
know if it was just a coincidence that the two times I downloaded from
Kazaa I got the error, or if it was probably a virus. I do know from
what I have read that it is impossible to make a virus out of the mp3
format, so what those who spread virii do is mask other programs as
mp3. I don't ever recall downloading anything but songs I could play;
and since then, even after reformatting, I have installed the files I
downloaded and do not get the error.
