I pick up an old system with a Conner travan type tape drives that connects
to the floppy cable. Does anyone know how to install and set one of these
up?

What operating system are you using? What
backup software are you using? Specs of the
computer this will be used in? Anything else
of interest that might be useful?

Haven't had a lot of experience with these
type of drives but I can share what little I
know. For the most part your backup software
will recognize the drive with its built-in
driver library. You will probably need to
ensure that you have the BIOS setup to see an
A: and B: drive (default is just to look for
A: usually). Most Microsoft operating
systems shouldn't have a problem finding the
hardware. You may not even have to install
drivers in the OS if the backup software
handles it. You may or may not be able to
read the drive from a file manager window.
Hope this helps.
