I am not sure I understand your question. Windows 2000 supports two types of drives: basic and dynamic. Basic drives have partitions, and dynamic drives have volumes.

Volume types include striped volumes, mirrored volumes, etc...

If you could be more specific, I could help more. You can also check out www.mcsefreakpress.com/70210.htm for more info on this matter.

on the test it ask what kind of volumes it supported like example. "
Raid-5, mirrored, striped, and spanned". Dynamic and Basic where not even a
choice for me to chose from. This topic was not covered in my book. I got
a few other questions that where not covered in my book. I'm using Sybex
latest book for A+. My suggestions before you take the exam do some
additional reading on Windows 95 and definitely Windows NT.
