I have problem with occasional spontaneous reboots
With wins 2000 pro, a 450mz clone, I assume its power supply,or my
electircal outlet has power surges,or PC over heating?

What kind of power supply do you have, and how old is it? And what hardware
do you have installed? It may be the power supply, but without knowing
specifics, it will be hard to say.

If you have an UPS installed check whether it is good.

Are you overclocking? This happens alot if your system is not stable
due to overclocking. Power supply is next on the list.

Hey, Joe,

Research the newsgroup on your problem first before posting...it's
been answered MANY times before!

Control Panel>System>Advanced>Startup and Recovery
and uncheck "Automatically restart" on system failure.

bear in mind that doing this won't actually solve your problem, but it may
give you a BSOD that you can then further troubleshoot. if it continues to
reboot after turning this option off, then you can start working on the
power supply or processor.

Having a bad day John? Newsgroup articles eventually expire, making way for
thousands of new ones.

Thanks...I use GoogleGroups myself and they go WAY back! If he didn't
know about Google (formerly DejaNews) NOW he does.

No, I wasn't having a bad day, just tired of lame lazy posters who
don't even bother to do any research on their question first before
posting...to get other people do do their work for them.
