Author Return all rows shows no data

I have a perplexing problem with SQL 7 Sp2. When I rightclick on "open
table>>>>return all rows" on any database table including master, the
table view opens fine, however there is no data at all. Also there are
no gridlines, columm names etc. The menu bars and asscoiated icons are
present, however there is no action from them when clicking on them.

I am logged onto as administrator and using the default SA SQL logon on
WinNt 4.0. Using query analzyer shows all the data in the database.
IThinking it maybe a permissions related, I created a new user with full
permissions, this did not make any difference.

This issue was not preceeded by any changes to the pc, or sql itself, we
have had no reason to make any changes to the pc or sql.

I have reinstalled SQL Server SP2, IE 6.0, NT SP6A and still no go.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Mark,

The problem lies within the client application (Enterprise Manager), not the
SQL Server instance ... that's clearly demonstrated by the fact that Query
Analyzer returns the data correctly. So re-installing the server software is
"attacking" the problem at the wrong place. Try re-installing Enterprise
Manager on the workstation.

When posting, inclusion of SQL (CREATE TABLE ..., INSERT ..., etc.) which
can be cut and pasted into Query Analyzer is appreciated.
