microsoft.public.sqlserver.server - precomposed greek characters

I have this problem when tyring to enter precomposed greek
characters in my database.
Although i use nvarchar type and fonts like arial ms
unicode or visullus old face that both support unicode
when i try to enter an accent after a vowell i get a
square in the screen( i try to do this in the database in
sql2000).
Any advise would be helpfull.
