I installed the provider in dev. it succeeds in binding
and seeing the tables on the server mysql. Comes then the
moment to install it under test, I install it (I have the
same the machine in all the environment of dev, test, prod
as well as the same versions everywhere of ms SQL 2000 -
8.00.665.) and I am not able to see the tables and views
of the server MySQL (I entered all information necessary
for the connection, the server puts itself under the
section: "Linked Server") but I click on" tables " and it
gives me: "Could not create an instance of OLE dB
provider" MySqlProv ".

I saw with the utility: msinfo32.exe in the section:
Software Environnement, Loaded Modules that the DLL:
myprov.dll, I imagine necessary to create the instance was
not loaded in the test server, but it was loaded in dev.
I then took another named utility: procexp.exe, making it
possible to see the dlls used by the programs and indeed,
sqlservr.exe recovers the DLL (myprov.dll). Here are what
I did to try loading the "DLL": I tried regsvr32.exe /u
myprov.dll and re-registered it , I tried re-installing
MyOLEDB3.exe and installed the very new version of MDAC
(2.7 RTM). Is there something in MS SQL 2000 that I
didn't do.

Thanx a lot
