Greetings all,

While in the process of designing an SQL server
database, I installed the full edition onto one of our
servers and the Personal Edition onto my local machine
(for testing purposes).
We are required to periodically change our passwords to
satisfy our NCC, but after I did, I lost control of my
local installation: enterprise manager says it cannot
authenticate me and cancelled the 'subscription'. When I
created the local instance, I did so under my network
domain user name & password. I am currently using Windows
authentication and not mixed-mode.

How do I get my local server back?

TIA- Dan I

Try going into the "Services" snapin (control Panel/Administrative
Tools/Services. Find the entries for SQL Server (at least MSSQLSERVER and
SQLSERVERAGENT - maybe more) and change the password for your login.
