Hi,
I am trying to connect to an SQL server installation on another box from
outside the LAN. My user can see everything on the network and receive
network email, etc. But from reasons the user receives the error that
their not connected to the SQL Server.
I just switch servers and my user had access before the switch. The
only different in the setup on the new server from the old one is that
terminal services is activated, also that I went from NT 4.0 to Windows
2000.is activated and that the new server is not a domain controller.
I used the same SQL settings that I had before.
Error: SQL Server is unavailable or does not exist.
I've also tried to connect to the server's sql using enterprise
manager, but that keeps failing. I didn't have this problem before I
switched the server. I created a new SQL server registration and
connect with SQL
Server authentication using the sys admin password. It still did not
work.
What am I missing.
