xp_sendmail problem

Which version of Exchange client should we be using with
SQL v.7 SP4? Can we use Putlook 2000 client to get the
most recent underlying MAPI structure?

We're having a problem with one of our v.7 servers on
SP4. xp_sendmail works for a while. And then it starts
to hang. It will not work again until we restart SQL
Server. The last two times, we had to reboot in order to
get SQL Server to completely shutdown. We're running
Exchange client 5.0. And we didn't have this problem
until we upgraded to SP4.
