Estimated I/O, CPU, and SubTree Costs

| Does anyone have any idea what Estimated I/O Cost, Estimated CPU Cost
and Estimated Subtree Cost are? I have seen where it represent the
number of tics (in seconds) it takes to complete the execution of a
query/batch butI need to know for sure if that is true.
