SQL Server 2000 Hardware Specifications

| Please can anybody advise "minimum", "standard"
and "optimum" server hardware specifications for SQL
Server 2000, based on cost? I know this is a bit vague!
For example, the minimum specification should not allow
for any redundancy (you get what you pay for!), and so not
include RAID; however, it could include two disks. You
should assume there will be a mixture of OLTP and data
warehouse activity, and so even the minimum specification
might include two processors. I am more interested in
what components to include in each specification, rather
than the size or power of each component.
