Author sql server down with error 1068, why?

I recently had to change the number of connections on my SQL Server
2000 in order to perform a test. I was prompted to restart the sql
server, so I did so. After restarting the service, I was unable to
restart and I kept getting a logon error message.

This is what was in the error log:
Could not start SQLSERVERAGENT serice on Local Computer. Error 1068:
The dependency service or group failed to start.

How would I track down what the error is in order to get the Sql
server up and running again.

thanks for any help in advance,
Geoff
