Author IIS setup

I'm currently running an SqlServer which I use for Queries
only. I'm trying to move to using the server for WEB
support. But have virtually no experience in this area.

First thing I tried is to setup a 'Virtual root' for the
server in [Configure SQL XML support in IIS] in the "MS
SQL Server Program group".
According to documentation, I'm supposed to see a server
list. None appears. Neither do I see the [NEW] tab in the
[Action] menu.

I must be missing something very basic but can't figure
out what it is.

Any help would appreciated.

Do you have IIS installed on the server you are trying
to set this up on ?
