Here are a few points worth considering:

Better backup/recovery options/features.
No limit on database size (believe access has a limit of
around 2Gb??).
Increased security.
Logs that trace every little move!!
SQL Server handles multiple users much better.
Offers better visiblity for user and data operations.

The list is endless!!!
