MDAC version 2.6 is installed and experiencing SQL Time Outs. Any ideas?
If not, any suggestions on tools or procedures to diagnose the problem.

use ping to see if the server is reachable on the network.
use odbcping to check if you can see the sql server on the network.
When you say SQL time outs, did you mean connection timeout or query
timeout?
Try setting a longer connection timeout value and see if you are able to
connect. If yes, it's probably network-related. Check your dns server, wins
server, routers.

SQL Time out. We've tried updating all clients to MDAC 2.6 and it still did
not work.
