| I am running SQL Server 7.00.842 on Windows 2000 Server. We have a
web application using Cold Fusion which connects to the SQL Server.
We have recently been getting the following error:
MMD - Register
ODBC Error Code = 37000 (Syntax error or access violation)
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Cannot perform direct
INSERT to range maintained by replication. The conflict occurred in
database 'CCR', table 'TransactionDetail'.
We do NOT have replication implemented. I have been unable to find
anything about this on Microsoft's web site. This problem is keeping
customers from subscribing to our services.
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
David Creighton

| Hi David,
I don't have a solution for you here but you might want to refer to
another posting on Google with this same error message. If you do a
search for 'Cannot perform direct INSERT to range maintained by
replication' in the google group search, the posting is in
microsoft.public.sqlserver.replication and under the name of Dean
Kalanquin.
This posting might shed some light on this matter.
