Does anyone give me any clue of reason, why I have difficulty to Schedule
DTS Packages?
Then DTS Packages executed manually, it works Perfectly.
Is any Security issue I have to check on SQL Service Agent or else where?

I have Microsoft SQL Server 7.00 - 7.00.1028
Standard Edition on Windows NT 4.0 (Service Pack 6)

Here is Error Msg
.... DTSRun: Executing... DTSRun OnStart: DTSStep_DTSActiveScriptTask_1

Hi there!

I am experiencing the same problem. I have read the article you
suggested in your reply, but can't quite seem to understand what to do.

I have registered the SQL server in SQL Server Enterprise Manager using
SQL Server authentication. The SQL Server that I want to update resides
outside our LAN. The user I used to register has "System Administrator"
privileges and access to the database that I would like too update
through a scheduled DTS package.

I create the DTS package by choosing an "import data" on the database
that I want to update. I am updating the SQL Server 2000 database from
an Access database (office 2000). When I have chosen all tables to
import from the accessbase that reside on a server in my LAN that I have
maped, I then try to run it manually. Executing it manually works fine.
That is because the owner of the package is my windows login account.
DOMAIN/henning, even though I have registrered the SQL Server with an
SQL Server login, as I stated earlier.

When I schedule the package, I understand that it is SQL Server Agent on
the Server that tries to execute it as a job. The Package shows me
(domain/henning) as an owner, but the job that is created shows the
right SQL Server user as the owner.

What gives? How do I make this work? The package must have the right
priveliges to be able to access the LAN on this side?

Hope you can help me, because I didn't quite catch what to do in the
article from Microsoft. Just that it is a security/user problem.

Best regards

Henning :-)
