Hi,
When I try to upgrade my sql 7.0 server to sql 2000 server, the
upgrade option is grayed out. I´m a bit confused, because i upgraded
an sql7 to sql2000 before, without any problem, and they should have
the same configuration...
Is this a known problem? I need help...

Perhaps they are different editions?

I'm not 100% on this, but I think that the upgrade from 7 -> 2000 requires
named pipes to be configured. The upgrade wizard might grey out the upgrade
option if named pipes isn't configured?

I am not sure if this is also true for SQL 2000, but for sql 7 you could
only upgrade FROM one other sql 6.5 server... The upgrade process would
not allow you to aggregate dbs from multiple servers during the upgrade
process.

If it works the same on SQL 2000, and you have already upgraded a dbs from
a different box, perhaps that is the issue.
