Author hash table???

Most of the time after restoring databases to the test server I receive this
error message. The only solution is to restart the server. Can any one know
why? and how can I solve this without restarting the server.

------------------------------------
Descriptor for system table '8' in database '8' not found in the descriptor
hash table. The SQL Server is terminating this process.
--------------------------------------

Thanks in advance

I would do a DBCC CHECKDB and DBCC CHECKCATALOG on the source machine to see if there are any
corruption. Also verify that the SQL Servers are on the same build level.
