Author EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION during Reindex

Greetings:

We've encountered the following error when a database
maintenance optimization job runs. During the job, the
command "dbcc dbreindex(N'[dbo].[tablename]', N'', 90,
sorted_data_reorg)" caused several stack dumps. Following
the last dump, I received these lines in the error log
file:

"SQL Server Assertion: File: <"xact">, line = 2149
Failed Assertion = '!m_parNestedXactCnt' Trying to use the
transaction while there are 5 parallel nested xacts
outstanding.

clean_tables_xact: active sdes for tabid 99773475720
clean_tables_xact: active sdes for tabid 99773475720
WaitForChildren: Children persisting. Retry: 2
WaitForChildren: Children persisting. Retry: 3
WaitForChildren: Children persisting. Retry: 4 ...

The "WaitForChildren" messages keep appearing every 20
seconds.

Any suggestions as to what is causing this?

NOTE: The SPID is still open and I have decided not to
kill it until I get some feedback.

Thank you.
Pete

Could you please post the entire errorlog ?

Thanks,
