Do not manually delete these files, when you perform a full backup of the
storage group using an Exchange 2000 aware backup program such as the
Windows 2000 backup program on your Exchange server these files will be
purged, they are very important files and should not be manually deleted.

Don't do it. Those are your transaction logs. They're important. You should
run nightly full online Exchange backups and the logs will be purged.
