Does E2K SP3 requires W2K SP3 upgrade
|

| Current server is W2K Adv Server with SP2 and E2K with SP2.
I understand that it is not neccessary to upgrade the W2K to SP3 in order to
install E2K SP3.
However, is it "good or advisable" to upgrade W2K to SP3 first before apply
the E2K to SP3 ?
If yes, what is the technical benefit. ?
I do not wish to apply 2 patches at the same time so that if there is a
problem occurs, it can be narrow down whether is it the W2K SP3 or the E2K
SP3 causing it.

| The two SPs are fully independent and the order in which you apply them
doesn't matter.
SP3 for W2K fixes many broken things and can only be considered a "good
thing" - I really can't think of a reason why not to apply both. In fact, if
I had to pick one, I'd go with SP3 for W2K before worrying about SP3 for E2K
(although, both SPs have installed on over 2000 of my machines without any
hitch so far)
