| Hi,
is it possible to connect with a "Exchange 5.5 Administrator"
tool to a remote Exchange 2000 server (within the same domain)?

| As long as you have network connectivity and name resolution, yep. You will
be connecting to the Site Replication Service (SRS) on the Exchange 2000
server.

thx for your help. I can ping the box running Exchange 2000 server from
the maschine that has the "Exchange 5.5 Administrator" tool installed.
However once I try to connect to the Exchange 2000 server using the 5.5
Administrator I receive this error message:
"A conection could not be made to the MS Exchange Server computer. The
computer did not respond. Microsoft Exchange Directory
ID no S_E_COMMUNICATIONS_PROBLEM
"
However the Exchange 2000 server is up and running. Any comments on that?

| srs is not installed. in system manager see tools\srs\new
