Importing PST file to Exchange Server
|
|
|
| Hi,
This is probably a really dumb question, but I do not administrate any
Exchange servers and therefore do not know the answer offhand. With that
said, does anyone here know if and how it is possible to import a standalone
PST file to an exchange server? My boss is the only person in the entire
group that pops into the exchange server to get his mail. All of his email
folder settings and mail messages are stored in a pst file in his "Documents
and Settings" folder. Is there some way that I can move this pst file to
the Exchange server and then point Exchange at it as his mailbox?
Any help or assistance you can provide would be muchos appreciated. Also,
if I'm not being specific enough, please let me know and I will try to
supply as much info as I can gather.
Thanks!
-Matt

| You can drag the content of the PST to one of the Exchange folders
Like inbox, or you can create new folder on the server and drag
the content to that folder (This is done with Outlook).
This will upload the content of the PST to the Exchange server..

| Just open up the users exchange mailbox in outlook, use the File/ import &
export command, import from another pgm or file, select PST file, and import
it.
