Deleting Email Boxes

| When you delete a user I've noticed it says "mailbox set for deletion".
Will it delete on it's own after so many days? OR can I go into System
Manager, Administrative Groups, Servers, First Storage, Mailbox Store,
mailboxes and delete the box from there?
