| I have not been able to get my public store back up. The public folders are
gone from drive M:. After restoring from tape backups, I'm still unable to
mount the store. At this point, I would be happy to just get a new store up
and import my data back in from a PST. I've created a new Public Folder Tree
and a new store and set permissions, but can't get clients to see it. I
can't clear up the problems with the old store, but am afraid to delete it.
I would really appreciate some advice.

| When you said clients can not see it, did you mean MAPI clients? if yes then
the reason is that MAPI clients can only see the default Public folder tree
ONLY.

| There inlies my problem. I need to find a reliable procedure for making the
new tree default so I can dump the original. Are there steps for that, or
would I have to reinstall Exchange to create a new default tree?

| I can get into the dialog to browse for the "default public store," but the
original store is my only choice. How do I get my new store to be available
as an option?
