On my exchange 2000 messages get stuck in categorizer and
get delayed most of the time, and some times don't even
get delivered. in the event viewer I see DCOM error
event id 10009.

This is the text of the error in event viewer.

"DCOM was unable to communicate with the computer
<TOKEN>Remote Server Name</TOKEN> using any of the
configured protocols "

I checked out the ms knowledge base article Q245197.that
didn't help,

Any thoughts?
