Author Delegates cannot see all of another person's contacts

I have a user (a secretary) who has been delegated full
permissions to view the contacts of another user (her
boss).

The problem is that the secretary cannot see all of her
boss's contacts. For example, if her boss has 6 contacts
for people with names beginning with C, the secretary will
see maybe 2 of them.

I have looked everywhere for an answer to it, but found
nothing.

If anyone has heard about anything like this and has a
solution, please let me know.

Thanks,

The other 4 are marked as private.

Thanks for the reply Chris. I should have included more
detail in the message, because I did look at the issue of
contacts being marked private. Unfortunately, many of the
ones that can't be viewed aren't marked as private.

Anyway, I appreciate the response.

Hrm, I'd double check or see if there is something else unique or
reproducable about those contacts, cause they 'ought' to be visible.
